Ancient Arts, Modern Approach

The Southern Chinese Martial Art of Wing Chun is over 300 years old, and throughout it's history it has evolved to meet the needs of the times. Because Wing Chun is a concept-based system, we are continuing that tradition by focusing our training on what is practical and applicable to the needs of our modern society. Using tactics, techniques and training methods cultivated over many generations, we also take advantage of modern advances in sports physiology and conditioning and the unprecedented access to martial arts systems from around the world.

Martial Arts Training, Birmingham, AL

Our foundation training begins with the art of Wing Chun as part of our Basic Program. As you progress, you'll be introduced to Balintawak Escrima/Arnis, a Filipino martial arts famous for extending hand techniques into skill with a stick or knife. Throughout the coursework, you'll be getting into "fighting" shape using sound, modern fitness science as well as learning self-defense skills that are designed for today's violence rather than ancient Asian battlefields -- and which are consistent with today's self-defense laws and limitations.

Click through our website for a very general overview to our system, and then call us for an appointment to come by and see it, and try it out for yourself!

IMPORTANT NOTE

The martial arts are physically demanding and include contact through drills and sparring. Because these activities may be strenuous, it is essential that a physician be consulted prior to training.
